Dodge Viper

The Dodge Viper’s history begins with Bob Lutz thinking of the plan to fabricate a cutting edge Shelby Cobra. The errand of building the vehicle was then appointed to Tom Gale. Later on, when Gale visited Italy to meet with the unbelievable Giorgetto Giugiaro of the Italdesign studio in regards to an alternate venture, the Viper got its name. As indicated by Gale through MotorTrend, “We ate one evening, and I said to Giorgetto, we’re searching for a name for a Cobra-like vehicle that we’re doing and asked, ‘What’s a snake name in Italian?’ And he says, ‘Vipera.’ And I said, ‘Sh*t. Much obliged.’ Didn’t have to say substantially more.” He then, at that point, clarified, “Not a solitary one of us had considered Viper by then, and not too far off, that is the point at which we had our ‘a-ha!’ second.”
